CONCEPT FASHION WEEK LOS ANGELES SS2012

Bohemian Society was AMAZING! The styling and construction were so well done. I was impressed with this designer. And the show was fun!

Bryan Hearns was edgy yet sophisticated. The colors were muted and the lines were clean and sleek. There was however, a playful feel in some of the crop tops and mini dresses. This brand is really LA, understated but chic!

Of course I LOVED the Jen Awad runway show! Not just my jewelry was featured but...because MY JEWELRY WAS FEATURED!!! lol! Ok but, seriously, the bright colors and quirky combinations were really reminiscent of Jen's fun & outrageous personality. If you looked past the X's and bright colors, you'd notice that her construction was impeccable! My favorite pieces were the high waisted pencil skirts..A MA ZING!!

Overall, Concept was fun. The crowd the LA's underground fashion elite. The designers were dope. And the shows were fun.

LA STREET STYLE AT CONCEPT S/S 2012

So far, I've been to 2 nights of Concept Fashion Week LA! Tons of fun! The atmosphere is great and street trends are evident.

The top three trends I noticed off the runway:
1. OVERSIZED BLOUSES
 - Fashionable Angelenos are rocking this look with leggings, shorts or skinny jeans!

2. DENIM SHORTS
-Although its Fall, the weather is HOT HOT HOT in LA. So, we saw a lot of cut off distressed denim with pumps or flats boots.

3. LARGE EARRINGS
-Thank GOD, the big earring craze is continuing! And it wasn't just hoops...

Last Thursday I had an AMAZING time at "FIXED Bicycles & Canvas" at Lab Art. This was my first experience at a Street Art show. The pics above are a few of my favorites.  Obviously, I'm not a pro after one show but I am completely infatuated with this dude Desire Obtain Cherish. Cyrcle was dope and of course Louis Canizarro is SICK. He's such a lover boy! The text in his pieces draw me completely in!

I couldn't post all the pics but the few I chose stood out to me. And I don't know the names of the artists that painted the images without tags :/

Victoria Beckham Exclusive Dress Collection SS2012

The Victoria Beckham Spring Summer 2012 Runway Show was complete satisfication. I was surprised by the dark color palette but the pops of orange and nude throughout the collection were refreshing. Last Spring, the collection was much more dainty, Old Hollywood Glamour. This season is still sophisticated but edgy and very modern. I LOVE it!

The silhouettes are true to the brand. My favorite piece is the long maxi dress with the long back zipper. The heavy zipper detail throughout the collection added a rough and sexy edge to this very feminine brand.

To quote my girl Maya Douglas of Born Too Blog, "I can see the evolution. She's super OFFICIAL now." I completely agree. We loved Posh's previous collections but this one is EVERYTHING.

DONNA KAREN SS 2012

This collection from Donna Karen is very edgy, urban chic! Very refreshing to see her go this urban tribal direction. I'm used her collection be more conservative and less vibrant. The designer's inspiration for this collection came from her recent travel to Haiti.

The silhouettes are amazing! I must have a circle skirt and body conscience dress from this collection.

I Keep These Bitches Calling SECURITY!!!

So, nothing I actually said at the reunion show aired. Of course, they completely edited the show to Evelyn's benefit. But, if you follow either of us on twitter you know she dropped a "SECURITY" Tshirt. lol! I just wish she would have put a little creativity into it!

Here's my counter tee :) Some people say it's unnecessary...I say MANDATORY ;) Stay tuned for more from Sugar Scout Couture and shop our apparel and accessories on our online boutique: www.SugarScoutCouture.bigcartel.com
